  NEBOSH HEALTH AND SAFETY  AT WORK QUALIFICATION

 

       This is an introductory qualification and provides awareness of health and safety  issues and equips individuals to identify and deal hazards at work and reduce risk. This qualification is the first step towards other higher level  NEBOSH  qualification including  NEBOSH IGC, IDIP etc.

 

Course Content

NEBOSH Award in Health and Safety at Work programme classified into 2 units as follows.

Unit HSW1 : Workplace safety foundations
Unit HSW2 : Risk assessment activity

Unit HSW1 is further divided into ten elements

  • Element 1: The foundations of health and safety
  • Element 2: The responsibility for health and safety
  • Element 3: Health and safety risk assessment and control
  • Element 4: Hazards and control associated with work equipment
  • Element 5: Transport safety
  • Element 6: Hazards and controls associated with working with electricity
  • Element 7: Fire safety
  • Element 8: Hazards and controls associated with manual handling and repetitive movement
  • Element 9: Hazards and controls associated with hazardous substances
  • Element 10: Hazards and controls associated with the working environment

NEBOSH  IGC (The NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational health and safety)

 

Course Duration: 10 days

 

   The NEBOSH International General Certificate offers  comprehensive understanding of occupational health and safety principles and practices. The program is specially  designed for managers ,supervisors, and employees representatives to help manage risk more effectively. Nebosh IGC enables candidates in any industrial sector to efficiently execute workplace health and safety responsibilities.

The NEBOSH International General Certificate programme is classified into 3 units as follows.

Unit IGC 1 : Management of International Health and safety
Unit GC 2 : Control of International Workplace Hazards
Unit GC 3 : International Health and Safety - Work related Practical Assessment
